About Exam
ICAR conducts All India Entrance Examination for admission to fill seats in Bachelor’s degree programmes. Agriculture entrance examinations for providing applicants to take admissions in Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral courses in Agriculture, Dairy Science/Technology, Fisheries Sciences, Forestry, Home Science, Horticulture and Food Science programs in various institutes of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in country India.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for AIEEA exam is given in detail below:-
- Applicants should be an Indian or an Overseas Indian.
- Applicants age should be 16 years as on 31st August 2018. (for UG courses)
- Applicants should have passed/appearing 12th or equivalent examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biolog or any other elective subject with English. (for UG courses)
- Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Forestry, Agri. Marketing and Cooperation, Food Science, Biotechnology, Basic and allied sciences etc. (for PG courses)
- 60% for general category & 50% for all other reserved categories.
Application Procedure
Procedure for how to apply for the exam is given here:-
- Go to the official website of ICAR AIEEA.
- Fill down the complete and correct details in the form. Like your name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, nationality, state, gender, communication address, email address, mobile number and your AADHAR number.
- After the final submission, note down your registration number.
- Upload your passport size photograph and signature.
- Make payment for the application form and print the confirmation page.
Exam Pattern
Exam pattern of this exam is given below according to its courses:-
UG:
- 180 objective questions with four options each.
- The language of the paper in English & Hindi.
- The exam can be given in both modes Online & Offline.
- The total duration of the exam is 2 hours+ 30 minutes.
- 4 marks will be given for each correct answer.
- 1 negative mark will be given for each incorrect answer.

Question: Is there any age criteria for ICAR AIEEA PG?
Answer: Minimum age of the candidate should be 16 years.
Question: What are the criteria of negative marking for AIEEA UG & AIEEA PG?
Answer: For AIEEA UG, there is a negative marking of 1 mark while for AIEEA PG, there is a negative marking of 0.25 mark.
Question: I have filled Online Application form. Should I purchase the OMR application/Information Bulletin?
The candidate filling Online Application form need not purchase the OMR application/ Information Bulletin. He/she need not fill the O.M.R. application form.
Question: Some fields in Online application are on different Serial No. in OMR application form. Does it really matter?
There is some difference in Serial Number of some fields on Online form and OMR application form. Candidates may ignore this.
Question: My Roll no, Examination center/venue, Optional subject are not mention in admit card. What should I do?
Admit card with Roll number and Centre / Venue and other examination details will be available Online.
Question: I do not have a soft copy of my photo, signature and thumb impression. What should I do?
Those candidates who are unable to upload their photo, signature and thumb impression should paste their photo and put signature & thumb impression on the printed hard copy of the application before submission.

Cut-Offs
The Cut off marks would be declared on after the ICAR AIEEA Exam for Admission. ICAR AIEEA cutoff is the minimum marks which show the qualifying status of the ICAR AIEEA test applicants for admission.
